How do I clean and care for the leather products?

 

Leather is a natural product and ages individually. Therefore, the right care for the longest possible life expectancy is absolutely recommended.

Smooth leather / nappa leather: Please remove dirt and stains with a soft, damp cloth. The remaining moisture should then be absorbed with a dry cloth.

Suede / wild leather: Please use a suede brush to remove dirt and stains. Such leather must not be greased.

 

Natural cowhide leather: The trimmings are made from natural cowhide leather, the hide has been subjected to a vegetable tanning process. Occasionally, natural stains or authentic imperfections in the delicate leather could be seen. Over time, the sensitive leather, which reacts to scratches, develops a beautiful patina.

With good care, the beauty of your Dog's Atelier product will be preserved for a long time.

 

We also recommend that you keep the leather away from cosmetics, oils and other strong detergents in order to maintain the product. Contact with these materials can cause the hardware to tarnish and the leather to fade.

 

Please note:
Like all materials, the leather can be stained and worn away. This can be faster depending on the environment and the intensity of use. Intensive contact with water, especially with salt water, can lead to discoloration.
